Come join the fun at the lake!

At "The Gone Fishing Summer Camp" our youth will have three weeks of Fun, Education, and Exploration. Classes will teach the basic fundamentals of becoming an excellent Angler. Allowing each participant to gain Angler skills and put those skills to work before Camp Finale Derby.   

Classes include:

-A hands on fun filled fishing experience 

-Different types of rod and reels and their functions

-How to assemble and use a rod and reel.

-Rod and reel casting exercises

-Bait/tackle knowledge and assembling

-Identifying Multiple Species of fish

-Fish habitat and structures

-Learn how to locate and catch specific fish (think like fish)

-Learn how to clean a fish.

-Canoeing  

-Backyard Bass Fishing Game and other outdoor games. 

Playground and bathrooms are available.  

May 22nd Fishing Derby is free and open to all family and friends.

Trophies will be awarded to the best fishermen.  

This program is designed both to teach the youth in our community how fun-filled experience of Fishing,  while raising funds for instruments, uniforms, travel, and other expenses for The Arkansas Youth Mass Band. Any donations are welcome and appreciated to help increase the learning skills and experience for our youth.
